About Queen City Professional Services

Proudly supporting businesses across Western New York with practical guidance built on real insurance experience.

Built Around Real Insurance Audit Experience

Businesses dealing with workers' comp audits or compliance issues often find that general advice doesn't match how audits actually work. Many owners are left trying to interpret carrier requests, classifications, and payroll details without clear direction or a reliable process. Queen City Professional Services was built to bridge that gap, offering support grounded in an insurance background with a focus on audit and compliance realities in New York. The result is a more structured, predictable experience where you understand what's happening and what to do next.

Our mission is to help business owners move through audits and compliance challenges with clarity, confidence, and a clear plan forward.

Meet Karen Catalano

Lifting Up Neighbors since 1998

Karen M. Catalano is a Western New York–based professional known for her strong commitment to family, community, and long-standing relationships. With deep

roots in the Angola and Buffalo region, she has built both personal and professional networks grounded in integrity, reliability, and service.

As the Owner of Queen City Professional Services, Karen has dedicated her career to helping businesses navigate the complexities of insurance with clarity, confidence,

and a deeper understanding of their coverage.

Since entering the insurance industry in 1998, Karen has worked her way through personal lines, underwriting, and commercial insurance. Through that experience, she identified a consistent gap—business owners often lack the guidance needed when policies reach the audit stage. Recognizing this need, she built her company to provide hands-on audit assistance, organization, and education, ensuring clients are not only compliant but fully informed.

Karen is widely recognized for her dedication to supporting those around her, maintaining meaningful connections, and contributing to the stability and growth of her community. Her role within a large, multi-generational family reflects her values of leadership, resilience, and care.

Her passion extends far beyond her business. For over twenty years, she has been actively involved in the insurance industry, supporting local and state boards, as well as national and regional Project InVEST initiatives. She has also worked closely with local nonprofits, contributing to missions that support individuals and families in need through access to food, clothing, household essentials, and employment opportunities.

She has served on multiple advisory boards across Western New York, helping to introduce the next generation to career opportunities within the insurance industry.

Karen believes that education doesn’t just support success—it creates it, shaping confident decision-makers and empowering the next generation of entrepreneurial business owners.
